She is probably worried about the state of her program with the recent firings and her star player making stupid comments about a guy half the country relates to who recently got assassinated.

She literally found out during the game. Like him or not, Woodward is the one that brought her here and she is tremendously loyal. I don’t know if it would have been a good idea for her to be at that press conference. She is known for speaking her mind, and may have said something we would have all been talking about today.
