Will Landry change his tune on contracts?

I see hints that LSU is going after some big names. Maybe it’s a smoke screen to appease fans but maybe not. These big names have the big agents like Sexton and Armstrong. They owe it to their client to get them the best deal and buyouts are just part and parcel.
With Landry calling the shots and making clear that he doesn’t like the contracts being signed, I wonder how he gets around it to get anything but an up and comer.
Otherwise, if the rumors are true, we looking for proven coach. That’ll require a buyout. Will Landry change his tune?

If you watched the presser, Landry’s not part of this. He had his feelings hurt by Woodward and got his revenge. Hopefully he moves on.

Dude wanted woody out, he knows damn well the public isn’t paying coaches money.

I hope you are right. I didn't watch, but I am skeptical.
I wish Landry never spoke on any of this publicly.

No doubt Landry needs the shut the f*ck up. It’s clear he didn’t like Woodward and took his shot.
The question was asked how much Landry will have an influence on the search and contract and the response was that, they understand the Govenor’s concerns and his want to know, but he won’t be part of getting this done.

Landry got his media tour and headline out of this and now he will not mention it again. The perception in the media and the rest of the country will be that Landry signed off on it. This shite show will get mentioned every time they talk about whoever the new coach is.

Landry will cheerlead and suck off the new pres, AD, and BOS
He had a personal vendetta against SW

Well he made it clear to the next coach and AD that he’s willing to make dumbass comments publically to embarrass them.
Lilttle Landry needs to figure this out

He is absolutely right about the insanity of huge buyouts for doing a bad job.If a coach wants to be here and not just for the money,BK,he will accept the terms of the contract. They will hire a good coach even though it might not be who many want. But LSU wouldn’t be LSU if fans couldn’t bitch about something.

I can’t imagine a scenario where Landry would change his tune on anything.

Translation
He doesn’t understand how things work. Coaches want buyouts. It’s real common. And they make a lot of money. Louisiana can’t afford it. Time to step back and get an unknown coach who doesn’t require a buyout.
Little Landry in charge now

Regardless of your opinions of Landry, Woodward had to go. You can't just burn the basketball program down and be responsible for the two largest buyouts in college sports history and still have a job. Any other job would have axed their top guy if he was losing that type of money. Woodward was a catastrophic failure at his job due to those events.

Wrong. Simply not true.
Woodward did more behind the scenes that message board folks will ever know. He was the best option LSU had for AD. Not only because of his high qualifications but because he was dyed in the wool purple and gold. We were lucky to have him.
The Kelly contract was approved by all- the board, the president and the state/governor. The Jimbo deal wasn’t on Woody as he had already gone. Yeah he hired him but that was a major coup at the time and recall that we wanted Jimbo real bad. Jimbo had issues with others at Tamu which led to his downfall. Woody was transformative there and he was doing incredible work where.
Little Landry had other issues with Woody beyond this.Little Landry got his way.
