Well we know that’s just not true.
LSU spent all of last offseason begging fans to donate money, then the head coach donated $1 million, then we got outbid for our #1 prospect.

Do you know the boosters personally? I’m not a big fan of Joel Klatt but I’m sure he does know people, I don’t see why he would lie about it
Also, this entire board was so confident that we didn’t have money to buy out BK and everyone was wrong on that. We clearly have a lot more money than this board seems to think

It’s not what you have it’s what you are willing to spend on athletics. If things went by how wealthy alumni are, endowments, and general university wealth the Ivy League would beat everyone in athletics. Largest endowments: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Princeton, MIT. Why isn’t Stanford the best in football? They could just lower their admissions standards, which they already likely do.
