Am I crazy for not getting today's melt?

I'd rather Landry not be involved, but he's essentially our acting president until next week when McNeese's Wade Rousse gets elected. He said today that our board of supervisors will make a committee to assist in the coaching search. I didn't get the vibe that he would be directly involved in the hiring at all

Because you can't make public statements that inflame the situation in an open market... This isn't a teachers union negotiation.. Top coaches can and will simply choose to not come here..

Landry is a cartoon but scott has to go. He gave BK a 100m contract and wanted Jimbo before BK.
Woody doesn’t want Lane, he’ll go after Franklin or Dabo.
Landry is loud but nothing he said was terrible. I preference the BOS pick a committee to find a coach over anything SW does

I’m not a liberal and think Landry is a bit of a clown but that’s Louisiana politics. That being said, Woodward has no business making the next football hire. His last two have been colossal disasters. He’s lucky to have a job after setting 100 mill on fire

Hire a committee. Use an outside firm with a few Louisiana ties and pay Saban $1MM to head the committee. He has knowledge of what it takes to buy into the culture as an outsider and has extensive knowledge of who can handle the new way of coaching CFB.

If anything, I think Landry would go with the fans pick, which is Lane. He's looking to score points with people, not become even more hated for a mediocre hire

Lol why would Lane want to come here with the governor publicly entangling himself in the Athletic department and calling out the AD.. While admonishing coaching agents and the contracts..

Because you are not very bright. The governor appoints the board so they are under his thumb. The new president will be someone who is under the Landry's thumb. Landry does not like Woodward because he isn't republican. Landry is picking the next head coach. And when that flames out just like his term as governor, you all will be to blame.
