Tear it down and start over. The NCAA is a joke.

The ncaa knows it’s on its way out and doesn’t have any control so they are just trying to nuke everything on their way out.

They are allowing them to gamble on pro sports. What does that matter?

As long as they aren’t betting on college sports, people need to stop the moaning.

Great idea. No problem if a college athlete gets deep in debt to a bookie gambling on pro sports. What could go wrong? Not like he could be influenced to shave points or throw games once he's under mob control.

You need to listen to a few Michael Francese stories.

I guess the argument against it would be that its a slippery slope. Possibility of players getting involved with shady characters in gambling circles that try to pressure them do something or provide insider info involving their own games.

Remember that around half of college athletes aren’t old enough to legally bet through a casino sportsbook. Plus add in that there’s 19 states that sports betting is either illegal or restricted to in-person betting only (no placing bets from a phone app). There’s still going to be a big market for underground bookies that players could end up in debt to. Very easy to see the possibility of players getting deep into gambling debt with illegal bookies and being threatened if they don’t throw games or shave points.

Way to either:

1. Be an a-hole and not tell the whole story

2. Not read the full story

And just how hard would it be for a starting college QB who wants to make some easy money to get a friend to toss down a couple grand on one of his games where they are heavily favored and toss a couple INT's to not cover the point spread.......................

As long as the friend is taken care of and keeps their mouth shut, easy money for both of them.....
