Coming from the generation that walked up the hill to get school and home. Give me a break

His people need the morning sun. It’s not rocket science. It’s farming.

I mean he is correct.
I don't want it to be dark at 7AM

Some areas of the country will still be dark at 8 or 8:30am.

Good for him. We don't need the "Sunshine protection act."

Well then turn on the goddamn lights.

Leave the clocks alone......

Y'all don't have electric lights in Arkansas?
Posted on 10/28/25 at 8:45 pm to Lt. Columbo
Then do permanent standard time
Posted on 10/28/25 at 8:46 pm to Lt. Columbo
Thank god. Standard time for life.

The current system is perfect actually. I have no idea why this has become a big issue.

Standard Time was viable before clocks and set work schedules. Peasants lived on the land and worked, and times flowed naturally and gradually day by day.
With modern timekeeping and businesses keeping set schedules, standars time leads to less sunlight when the vast majority of people are awake. The goal is to demoralize the population, to make people feel more trapped and isolated.
Less daylight in winter when daylight is already scarce fricks over children waaaay more than early sunlight.
Getting off school and it getting dark, no time to play outside vs the nonsense about kids walking to school in the dark, as if walking 2 miles to school is even a common thing anymore.

I'd fall back a bit earlier, and make spring ahead a three day weekend so we offset the jet lag.

Just change the school start time. Damn this isn’t a big deal that the other 320 million people should have to put up with.

It has always been a big issue for me. I hate going to work and coming home in the dark. I would much rather go to work in the dark and have a hour of afternoon sunlight. To each his own. Also, I fricking hate having to change the clocks. Pick one and let’s stay with it.

Good. I like the clock changes.

I truly despise daylight savings time. It should be in the dust bin of history. If you want to be wide arse awake at 10:30 pm turn on the lights
