Dont be uppity about it. Really think.
He knows the SEC. Hes beaten our arse at State. Won the East at Florida. Took a break to get reinvigorated , and is now killing it at UNLV.
He knows offense. He can score on anyone. Florida fired him way too quickly IMO. His recruiting was sub par but it doesnt matter anymore.

Hes 106-62. Gotta be some effort there. Not sure how many other coaches can do what he did at State

No natty. If we're getting an older coach, he has to have at least come close to a natty.
Otherwise, I'd rather bet on someone younger. The game is changing rapidly. I think the younger guys are adapting better.

True, but LSU owns LA and it wouldnt be hard for him to fill other spots thru the portal
But as a playcaller, he's one of the best in the game imo.

I think he’s a great coach
does he have the drive to be an excellent coach?
Kelly won a lot of games
i honestly get the appeal
because his issue was recruiting at Florida and NIL could fix that.

Yes it does. Right before they booted him out of Gainesville he was asked about a prominent recruit that was high on Florida in a press conference. His response was that he doesn't look at recruiting until after the season.
He is not cut out to be a HC at the upper echelon of the SEC where you are 24-7-365 on the recruiting trail even during the season. He's better off out west at schools that don't really expect to have top 10 recruiting and portal classes.

They hated him at Mississippi State. He had his favorites and shunned everyone else. The same went down at Florida too. He falls into the same category as BK.
Maybe Oklahoma State or Baylor (if Aranda gets a pink slip) hires him. If Beamer goes to VaTech, South Carolina would be dumb not to look at him.

Recruiting seems like a pretty dumb reason to discount him considering it’s basically just writing checks now.
A good program plus money is going to get a lot of players especially in a good system.
I think him being a veteran coach and kinda salty is going to remind a lot of people of Kelly.
But if we got him without breaking the bank I think we could do a hell of about worse.

When there’s a solid recruiting head coach that locks the state up. This state can absolutely be picked apart by superior recruiters elsewhere if the head coach is a weak recruiter. It’s been awhile but we have seen it happen before
