Here's what the next week or two will look like...

Here's what's going to happen, based on observation and ear to the ground:
1. We'll officially hire McNeese Prez as LSU President by early next week.
2. Woodward will be given his walking papers almost immediately.
3. New AD will be named quickly. Some say it's the McNeese AD, but I doubt it. Too big a role for him, but he could be 2nd chair Asst AD. McNeese Prez will be ready to close the AD hire very fast.
4. New President and AD will pick new coach. And yes, there will already be some feelers out to potential coaches agents, even this week.
Timing of an actual HC hire will depend on who. Is he coaching a team likely to make the playoffs? If we get the right guy are we Ok with having a slow start on recruiting this year? (I'd hope so because there are ways to mitigate this somewhat)

That depends on the level of confidence that the candidate is going to stand by the commitment. For instance, does the candidate act like a flaky teenage girl on social media?

Kiffin would also be working some magic sauce via Austin Thomas behind the scenes in December to keep commitments. Kiffin could handle the recruiting transition pretty easily on several fronts.
