I don’t know who will be the next LSU HC but I can tell you who won’t

Jon Sumrall.
Texting with someone tied in and I was just going down a lot of these hot boards with him and he said “no chance”.
Also went as far as saying there’s no chance they hire a G5 guy. So you can get Golesh and Sumrall off these lists.
I will also drop this. Every list or talk I’ve had with a booster always ends in the same “don’t overthink it, it’s Kiffin”
Seems to be the overwhelming early favorite for LSU to land Lane

Kiffin seems too obvious to me.
And them saying no G5 coaches is very short sighted. That also tells me they won’t consider a coordinator.

No way these "tied in" people are that dumb. Ole Miss either collapses or makes the playoffs. If they collapse who wants LK in BR? .. if they make the playoffs and make a run, are we supposed to let LK hold us hostage until he decides ? or possibly just use LSU to get a raise in Oxford ?

So I was right...they're looking for splash over substance.
I'm not saying Lane has no substance, but to say absolutely not to G5 coaches before even knowing who will tell you no is short sighted and tells me it must be a name that makes a splash to keep the egos in check.
