Would some deep pockets at Vandy step up to beat the offer?

There’s no reason for LSU to make a run at Lea.

He’s 9-27 w/out Diego Pavia

Was 9-27 at Vanderbilt before Pavia arrived and shot life into the program.
No thanks

Agreed.
Why the frick does anyone want Lea?

Not gonna argue. It doe take some level of talent to win football games in the SEC. But he also has to get credit for finding Pavia and bringing him in. He was SEC coach of the year in 2024 and has his team for the first time in ever. I think he's a good coach.

That's a pretty standard win/loss record for any Vandy coach going back to about 1960. We hired Gerry DiNardo after he had completed four years at Vandy with only a slightly better record.
