If I ever made a movie - it would be the Handmaids Tale, with burqas.

It would be set in New York

Everything would be free.

Except the feminists. They would all be rockin burqas. The wives would all smile and say that they are happy. Their burqas would be green.

This is basically Mandami’s campaign.

I mean, with the right AI tools, you could probably bang out a trailer for that in about 30 minutes. It sounds better than 95% of Hollywood output over the past 10 years.

Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale was directly inspired by the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, which established a theocracy that drastically reduced women's rights and imposed a strict dress code, mirroring the book's dystopian Republic of Gilead. The revolution saw women lose many of the freedoms they had previously enjoyed, a development Atwood has cited as a key historical and political influence on her work

It’s a bit early to be hitting the sauce, but I support you.

And yet you will continue to vote the people who support this into office.

If you had the deciding vote in Dearborn MI., Minnesota or NYC, these same people would still be in charge. Congrats.

How brave.

Not as brave as inventing these whole fictional narratives about my voting patterns, I guess.

The word "Fatwa" comes to mind. Do you know who Salman Rushdie is? Islamists will not be happy at all with you.

You would need to have slave camps (which would be made up people who refused to wear the "sacred burqa") to provide all the "free" goods. The burqa-clad feminists (we'll call them "Karens") would consider the slave labor as an acceptable tradeoff because they (the burqa-wearers who don't have to do slave labor) were all considered fat, ugly and undesirable before society made them cover up.
