Seems like someone LSU could realistically get.
Coached one year at App. State , finished 12-1 .
Done about as well as can be expected at Mizzou.
41 years old , he current makes 9 million a year.

I would take that nerd right now.
I remember being so embarrassed whenever O lost to him in 2020 at Mizzou

I know everyone wants Kiffin but I want Eli. I think he immediately makes us better.

Hiring drink might help you keep Baker, and most of the defensive staff. I’d also be interested in Clark Lea. He has done a phenomenal job at Vandy. But it’ll likely be very hard to pull him away due to his ties to the university. It’ll be more than just a money decision for him.

IIRC we lost Brennan (who was having an excellent start to the season) for the remainder of the year that game.

I don’t like an Eli hire at all….easy schedules, got absolutely manhandled by a&m last year and probably will again this year….even before he lost his QB they couldn’t score on Vandy
I don’t like it….you have to look at the coaching trees before you start throwing random names around because they have good records.
Who has me studied under? Who does he emulate?
I would start on the Nick Saban coaching trees and work my way from there….that’s where you start

He also lost to them 31-0 last year and 41-10 to aTm. He can't beat good teams, he is James Franklin lite.

Also
Kelly at LSU - .708
Drinkwitz at Mizzou - .629
His success at Mizzou has come from some pretty weak schedules. I also think many LSU fans would view him as "corny", so we're back to a guy people don't see as a good fit.
Third, he's expensive. He's already making $9M, we'd have to pay him $12M.
If we're spending that kind of money, I like Kiffin much more.
