Thats 14 million children. I hear this number often quoted so I looked up the source.

It comes from the dept of Agriculture.....who is responsible for SNAP. You know where they came up with the number......they asked the people who received SNAP.

Now I ask you, if you are receiving SNAP, are you going to say, I have plenty I really dont need the food, or are you going to say its not enough?????

I actually saw the survey, questions like, does your child miss meals? FFS I missed lunch 3 times last week, does that make me "food insecure"?

But dont worry, come November 1st, the MSM is gonna find those kids, who after one day without SNAP, is being admitted to a hospital for starvation.

We don't have a food insecurity problem. We have a shitty parent problem. No amount of money will fix it. It only exacerbates it.

20% percent of kids in this country go hungry is hard to believe.

I do believe that there are kids that go hungry but that is because of neglect of parents or adults who are charged with the care of the child. Those people who neglect feeding a child should be tied to a post, whipped with a strap and not fed.

Most, if not all schools have free breakfast and lunch, some even have free after school meal programs and that is even available during the summer break to the child and their family, at least they do in Alabama.

Now, if your kid looks like this and your are getting SNAP, then you should be
banned forever from getting public assistance:

It’s absolute horseshite. No one in the USA in 2025 has any idea of the concept of hunger not being held captive or suffering from mental illness.

They are masters at gaming the system.

Remember during Covid when they weren’t letting kids go to school and these frickers were driving to the schools to pick up breakfast and lunch for their kids?

I remember.

They are taught what to say and how to say it so that they max out the welfare.

There’s a reason they don’t save money. There’s a reason they don’t get a better job or work more hours. They’d lose their benefits. Same reason they don’t get married or make any steps towards independence.

The number one health problem for America’s poor children is Obesity.

The number one health problem for America’s poor adults is Obesity, number two is diabetes.

I've heard the same number (or at least similar) for the last 50 years to justify stealing more money from those who will to give to those who won't....and yet with all of the money they've thrown at the 'problem' for half a century it has not changed (or at least reduced).

Lather, rinse, and repeat.

SNAP needs to be overhauled. The amount of junk and pre prepared food that is snap eligible is absurd

Isn’t it odd those kids go hungry when both their parents are employed or the father is doing his part and supporting the welfare for those children? Of course not all people are lucky enough to be employed and choose the foraging path of overloading a cart and racing to car. Those last groups of people have the added disadvantage that their children may see but not learn properly so they will task the children to roam the treacherous aisles to retrieve items. Those future scholars will often be found helping others and relieve them of capitalist guilt

14 million children are hungry and the democrats are dismayed. In the last 50 years 50 million have been murdered as infants and the democrats argue for more opportunity to kill additional. Democrats should sit this conversation out for now

For the last couple of decades this is the first time in history where poor people weigh more than rich people.

Easy problem to solve. Don't have more children than you can afford to raise properly. De-incentivize having more children means another check. There has to be a limit. Neglectful parents who have drug problems or households without a father contribute greatly to this. Get a job, live modestly and take care of your children.

I just had a 14 y/o patient that would make the kid in your picture look like he was anorexic.
