I wish there was a way to provide benefits directly to children and not deadbeat parents

Unfortunately SNAP benefits being cut off will impact children the most and they have the least to do with it.
But the reliance on the "state" (Feds) to step in a carry deadbeats is out of control.

Almost every school feeds kids breakfast and lunch nowadays. Some even feed them dinner. And yet their parents still get SNAP benefits - very little of which actually winds up paying for groceries for the kids.

WIC is great because it mandates what it can be used on which was basic wholesome foods like cheese, eggs, meat and vegetables. SNAP should be mirrored after it. If people want redbull and potatoe chips then they should spend their own money on it

SNAP is just so easy to game, even if you make some strict guideline that it can only be spent on healthy foods A, B and C. Unless you can see someone eat the food in front of you, they can sell or exchange that food for anything after they walk out the door.

Yeah, give it to the kids. Then instead of parents buying all the junk food, the kids can now buy it. Yeah, that would work.
