Jabari Smith about to realize his full potential this season. That Rockets roster is absolutely stacked. Eason coming off the bench as a 6th man, my goodness. If they stay healthy, I don’t see anyone beating them.

It's going by committee with Amen being the primary ball handler but after Eurobasket Ime got the memo that he can let Sengun run the offense too.

Still 3 inches shorter than the 1998-99 Mavericks

How is Reed looking in preseason?

Jekyll and Hyde....

He absolutely dominated the Hawks in the final preseason game and pretty solid not spectacular in the other 3 preseason games. He seems to play with more aggression and dominance when he's not on the floor with Durant, Sengun, Smith, & Thompson.

Hopefully Ime gives him a confidence boost and he can start playing well with the big dogs.

For those who don’t know, Amen Thompson has been a PG his entire basketball career. He played the 1 in the GLeague before he got drafted.

He is a 1, he just hasn’t been the guy taking the ball up the court in the NBA because his size allows him to play other positions and he’s maybe not quite as good at traditional pg duties as a pure PG like VanVleet.

But he’s capable, and with Sengun also acting like a PG from the high post, they have options to keep the ball moving.

They are playing the deepest/most talented team in the league opening night. So that theory will be tested early.

I just do not see that line up lasting more than a couple of weeks. All those bigs aren't used to running the whole game. Quick teams are going to feast, and it's not like they'll destroy teams down low. I'm glad they are giving it a shot though..

I think we need a Weekly Rockets Roundup sticky from the More Sports board

Just because Houston insiders power

On what planet do you think Adams plays more than 20 minutes per game?

Just because you are a starter doesn't mean you have to average 36mpg. The Rockers have plenty of depth to rotate players in.

Jabari Smith will shoot 37% this year. Possibly close to 40%. He is finally getting to that comfort level we saw at Auburn.

DFS is a career 43% shooter
Sheppard will be in that range with consistent PT

Just need Sengun, Smith, and Thompson to hit consistently enough to keep defenses honest and its on.

Not sure if you watched a single one of the Rockets preseason games but scoring will not be their issue lol.

Rockets start off the season 0-2. They went up against a big lineup from the Pistons tonight, with all 6'7 plus starters as well. They even got outrebounded. When do they make the move for a lead guard?

They played two really good teams and lost two very close games. Revisit this after 20 games.
