Good Lord.
Tackles PFF Pass blocking grades vs Vandy: 37.6 and 23.7

Curne PFF Pass blocking grade vs Ole Miss: north of 80!

Now look I realize OM didnt bring as much pressure so that would make it easier on him. But still, that was his first start, on the road, and he was just thrown in there unexpectedly.

These clowns couldnt block a blind toddler shooting a jumper on a 5 ft rim.
Curne at least TRIES.
You're telling me a better line wouldnt be Curne at RG and bump Thompson out to RT (where he played a Northwestern)?

Boys. Sometimes you need to lose a battle (or a few) to win the War. We need to lose however many remaining games it takes to initiate real change on this coaching staff or we are never sniffing another National Championship.

because he's better than the starter.

why does kelly receive kick offs to start the game?

why does kelly think all you need to win a game is one 60 yard run?

Yes I have been saying this ! If they wanted to make things work better now kick out Thompson to tackle! And bring in curne!

Because our current starters won’t get reps if you pull them for someone better.

It’s hilarious that this is actually the reasoning of our coach

It baffles me too.

quote:

After the SC game: Brian Kelly was asked on Monday if he's considered moving fifth-year senior right guard Josh Thompson out to right tackle.

"We did, but we're willing to live with some mistakes out of right tackle, because we think his future is so bright," Kelly said. "So when you go into that whole process of thinking about it, do you thwart his growth of what he needs to see every day?"

So you're willing to tank the team and get your QB killed because the player has a "bright future"?

This is the weekend to do it. Home game. Crowd noise not as much of a factor. A&M has good but not elite ends.

I don't know how many times Chester has to show you he can't be a contributor at this level. Getting put on skates by a 240 lb DE. Enough of this shite.

Coach says they are willing to take their lumps with Davis because they believe in his potential. Why not apply that same logic to Curne?

I recall reading that comment and didn't believe it was true - could not believe that he really said it.

if that is correct he has no business coaching anything but a little league team.

Couldn’t agree more but remember Kelly has a problem with playing freshmen. Remember when he would barley play whit weeks

I don’t understand that at all. Maybe he has a bright future but that’s somewhere down some road.

The point is he doesn’t have a bright present… so what’s the point? He’s costing us now. He’s costing Kelly now.

We know he’s costing the fans a ton. I don’t think his NIL makes up for that. Nobody’s does
