Yeah, I get it — it looks rough. We don’t look physical, there’s no clear identity, and we’ve got what feels like 85 receivers we can’t consistently get the ball to. But now, at least, we’ve started to show signs of a run game — averaging 6 yards per carry is something to build on.
That said…
As bad as things have looked at times, I honestly think the defense was the biggest issue in this last loss. Getting healthy on that side of the ball has to be the top priority. We've lost two road games by a combined 12 points. Those are one-possession games — meaning one or two plays here and there could’ve flipped the outcome. Maybe we’re not that far off, even if it feels like it.
If we can get those three key defenders back for this week and the Alabama game, who knows what could happen? The offense still needs to find some rhythm, no doubt, but I’m at least feeling a little more encouraged — especially with Berry stepping up at running back.
I'd really like to see the OC help take some pressure off the O-line with some smarter play calls — things like RB screens, WR/TE screens — just simple ways to get our playmakers in space. At the end of the day, though, it comes down to execution.

I don't think the concern is the fact we've lost 2 road games by a combined 12 points
It's that we have 2 losses before the meat of the schedule

We run a ton of WR screens, everyone here bitches about it incessantly.
This line sucks too much for LSU to even have a chance to win out.

I’m talking about the ones coming back to the middle of the field. Middle screens. It’s actually been a decent play prior. I remember Anderson last year having a big gain.

Sure but the results are against 2 top 10 teams and if Pavia doesn’t shite himself they probably beat bama at bama. My point still stands…. One play. Now I think vs bama we have to play much more flawless than we have but I think we have talent to do so. Harold Perkins has to get his head out of his arse or he needs to be benched. I don’t care how much his NIL is. If you don’t give effort you don’t play.

You need athletic tackles and guards to run those effectively. We can't line up and block the guy in front of us consistently.
Also, none of our tight ends can block.

I am one of the most optimistic LSU fans I know. Turned 40 years old today.
This team is not going to win shite. We have zero killer instinct and that’s our demise and our HC problem…
We get a big run from down to the 1 foot line…. Can’t punch it in, call a timeout… then shoot ourselves in the foot and kick a field goal to basically kill us.
We then get two stops out of nowhere…. And we run offense like retards
Sorry to tell you son..,, this team ain’t got it. And it’s because Kelly ain’t got it.
We are a 8-4 team

And yet the blocking receivers and tight ends looks like they are doing it for the first time often.

Yep, Green and Sharp blocked one man together on a screen yesterday and let the other guy knife in and make the tackle.

It’s not a players issue. This coaching staff esp on the offensive side of the ball is incompetent it’s hard to overcome that

This season was supposed to be a good one. Next year is going to be a rebuilding year especially with likely offensive staff shake ups.

And it’s because got abused on both sides of the ball by teams that shouldn’t be out physicalling LSU. Soft arse team

People want to wallow in their misery. Some here seem to prefer misery all week so they can point back after a disappointing loss and say, "I told you so."
We have a generally pessimistic fanbase sprinkled with some delusional optimists. A lot of the pessimists will say, "I'm just being realistic". I have heard this from every pessimist I have ever known. I believe it is a way they protect themselves from disappointment emotionally.
LSU can win Saturday. I do not know if they will. I'll be hopeful, but it is easy to see why many do not expect a victory.
