We lose a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. We’re going to need probably $2 million just to lure a good quarterback to Baton Rouge. That doesn’t even count for all the other positions that we need to fill. I’m certainly not a $100 million net worth booster, but if I were, I can’t imagine throwing good money after bad. The next thing those guys are forking over money for is probably a buyout after next season.

You won’t see the boosters give $20 million again. You’ll see lack of transfers due to that and a 10-15 ranked recruiting class. Next year is going to be really bad

This is what was said about Ole Miss. They gambled it all on 2024 and lost. They were going to really suck in 2025.

The offensive coordinator that will come in here and save Brian’s job will be able to demand whatever he wants(within reason of course). I can’t imagine he will have many takers trying to save a lame duck coach’s job. It’s a really tough sell.

I know several. Your instincts are correct. It was stunning that they even took Orgeron’s buyout. As generous as the fans are here with other people’s money, it doesn’t make it reality. Here’s reality: BK isn’t going anywhere until at least 2029. We are stuck.

LSU is middle of the pack as far as money goes in the SEC. Schools like Texas and A&M can afford as many buyouts as they want. LSU is not that.

I don’t buy that, lol. LSU will not be that patient. We will lose way too much money missing the playoffs every year until 2029.

I don't go along with the notion that they will keep him that long. If he loses to aTm and Bama, he will have shown you every year what he can give you in the SEC. It will be time to move on if he loses both of the next 2 games.

He’s going to fleece the sheet out of us whoever it is. He’ll know CBK is desperate

Does Ensminger have any fire left in him?

Unless Kelly takes a risk like he did with Sloan, an established OC is going to write his own ticket here.

Old Ensminger > Young Sloan, I’m confident Steve’s play calling will at least make some sense.

Then the Powers that Be need to sit their arses down and figure out what they're going to do about the situation! Either you fire Kelly(unless, by some miracle he manages to make the playoffs) or you keep him and figure out how you're going to come up with the money to get the players in that will be needed to be competitive!

It doesn't matter if they aren't a well-coached team.
