First time visiting in over a decade. It's a great city, I've always loved the design/layout of it. Lots of beauty, interesting vibe... but holy shite is the spigot open.

Montgomery County in general is packed to the gills around the I45 corridor.

We lived there in 1991 right after graduating LSU. The Cynthia Mitchell Woods Pavilion and Hardy Toll Road had just opened. It was marketed as "27 minutes to downtown". We moved to Sugar Land as they were about to open The Woodlands Mall in '94. It can now take you 27 minutes to get from the back of The Woodlands to I-45.

It’s been bad for 15 years. It’s like Katy with trees.

There used to be a prominent scout camp south of Conroe. Camp Strake

It's a damn subdivision now. SMH

I cant imagine the difference living there in the '90s and now. Being able to buy a home off the Millbend loop circling the old TPC was my gold standard as a 25 year old. At the time we lived in our first non-apartment, a tiny arse rental on Field Flower Court. It was $550 a month.

Have Indians taken over Montgomery County like they have Dallas and Collin County?

The amount of ghetto uber or lyft drivers I’ve had in Houston tell me they just moved to The Woodlands has me scared for The Woodlands.

Its not just the Woodlands. Basically any direction other than East of Houston is a total shite show. Houston traffic is the worst.

Nobody lives in The Woodlands anymore, it’s too crowded.

I looked around a little and said F that shite. I’m close enough to the woodlands but chose Spring and Rayford off 99. 99 makes it manageable and I don’t hit too much traffic.

Of course you can plan around peak traffic times and never have a problem.

It always baffles me when people get out in peak rush hour then is shocked there’s traffic.

It's all of Texas Bro.

Half of California, five million Biben illegals and 3/4's of India moved here in the past five years.
