If tweet fails to load, click here. That would be wild to leave TAM for that job, but I would certainly love it

If he were still at Duke I'd absolutely put some stock into this but I dont see him leaving AM after 2 seasons. It's not an unreasonable name.

I don't see it either. Also the guy tweeting this is clearly trying to troll AM fans so disregard his comments.

A&M is a top job in the NIL era

Greg McElroy is saying the same thing.

Yeah, agreed. Outside of schedule, its an infinitely better job than PSU
Posted on 10/14/25 at 10:20 am to Fun Bunch
I don't see that happening

Aggie is always on the "best jobs in college football" list and have nothing to show for it.
It's overhyped, and always has been, just like their team.

I also doubt he leaves, but I wouldn't really consider him to be a darkhorse.
After Rhule, Elko has been the next name off most people's lips since Sunday. He might even be the more appealing candidate of the two right now.

I could definitely see someone from the northeast having a significant preference for State College vs College Station from a lifestyle perspective.

The one thing he may looks at, especially after the next few weeks, is PSU's absolutely joke of a schedule next year, when he has to play a murderer's row of opponents in the SEC

So pay $50 mil to fire James Franklin then hire James Franklin?

Penn State is not a better job than Texas A&M in the current climate of college athletics.
Posted on 10/14/25 at 10:47 am to Fun Bunch
Joe Brady is the favorite
Posted on 10/14/25 at 10:48 am to Fun Bunch
Penn State is a better program historically but in this NIL era idk if you make that move.

The only advantage PSU has it has a MUCH easier path to the playoffs. Go look at next year's schedule vs AMs

If this was an LSU job opening, the reasoning is equivalent to tying a guy to it because he was born in Mississippi and went to school at ULM.
Just pure nonsense.
