Have athletic playmakers that can give their backend fits. I don’t think they have the secondary to guard green, Anderson , brown and Parker

Defensively, our backend can absolutely swallow up their wideouts which will allow us to load the box and devote attention to stopping their dynamic run game

If nuss continues to play aggressive and avoids the stupid turnovers we should win this one comfortably

Can we please stop pretending that he's elite. He's the 5th or 6th best receiving option on the roster.

Hoping that Nuss avoids stupid turnovers is not a recipe for success. He's going to turn the ball over. It's who he is.

So you're saying LSU is more talented than Vanderbilt? Thanks

Brian fart on my end I meant to put Anderson instead of Hilton . I actually think Hilton should be out of the rotation and all his deep shot attempts should go to brown instead I’m over Hilton’s lack of physicality and drops

Pavia isn’t built like Sellers and he won’t be shedding tackles from our DL all night.

Pavia has been much, much better running the ball than Sellers has this year.

I disagree.

Vandy has a lot going for them:
- disciplined, solid defense which will slow or stop our bad offense
- mobile, playmaking, experienced QB
- bye week ahead of matchup
- home field (although Vandy, still not Tiger Stadium)

This will be very tough to win, sadly. I blame Joe Sloan mostly.

Pavia is very good at shedding tackles and taking advantage of situations with his feet.

Correct. He is sneaky but that can only last so long in a game. LSU defense is tenacious.

If Nuss doesn't turn the ball over…

If our OLine can block well…

If our wide receivers and tight end can stop dropping passes…

They gave up 328 yards to SC without Sellers playing. SC actually outgained Vandy.

They gave up 393 yards and 35 points to a bad Utah St team.

They gave up 486 yards and 30 points to Bama.

Vandy is a good team, but Pavia isn't Sellers and Vandy doesn't have the skill players that Ole Miss did. The defense is going to give Pavia fits.

Defensively, there are yards to be had by LSU's offense. We had signs of life vs SC and if we clean up just a few mistakes, LSU wins.

Exactly. And LSU moved the ball against a very good front 7 for SC so it wasn't like we did it against Southeastern. If LSU can replicate the offensive output they did against SC then I think LSU wins by 14. And Sellers broke about 24 tackles in that game, Pavia isn't 6'4" 240 lbs. Gap discipline will be key in this game also.

He’s a better runner & more savvy with the ball, leading them to be able to run a lot of misdirection stuff. LSU has to jump ahead and force him to throw the ball

Yeah I thought the same thing about Ole Miss. But somehow the opponent figures our offense out just enough to keep us under 20

Vandy is pretty good. All comes down to our offense as usual.

it is probably the best match up defensively we will have the rest of the season

Pavia is great but doesn't have the best arm. He isn't going to be able to escape like Sellers or lagway. He can run but more down hill than elusive

Everyone we've played has had trouble sustaining drives outside of Ole Miss in the forth when the defense was gassed.

We could have Malik and Brian Thomas out there and it wouldn’t matter if Nuss can’t consistently get them the ball and Vandy drops 8 like Ole Miss. Nuss just isn’t good.
