This will be the final iteration of Starship V2 and the final time launch pad A will be used in its current configuration.

The Superheavy booster being used is booster 15-2. Why the dash 2? It has already been flown and caught. It is being reused.

I'm curious. What is this launch for? Just another test to take it to space and then land/catch the boosters...or something different/new?

No catching this time. It’s all about big data. They are intentionally making subtle changes on the last remaining vehicle of this version with the goal of making future versions more robust and reusable.

The ultimate goal is to make vehicles that can operate like an airliner. Fly, land, refuel, change cargo, and fly again in a couple hours.

This is also the final flight of this version of Booster, too (thus why the next flight will move over to launch pad 2)

Once the launch pad is safe following this flight, equipment will start moving in almost immediately to start demolition of the launch mount & deluge system so they can construct the new version of the launch mount with a flame trench

The tower will remain the whole time... no need to take that down... but I do believe they will replace the lifting arms with the shorter versions

ETA: I do believe that starting with flight 12 and the new version of Booster... the hot staging ring will be part of the booster, so today will be the last time a hot staging ring will be jettisoned for booster's reentry after it's sent Starship into space

I had 6:30 in my head originally for some reason and typed without double checking

But excitement is guaranteed shortly
