To me the most impressive thing was Nuss had 4 runs for 30 yards.

Don't get me wrong I'm not ready to crown him or the offense, but there was some improvement. Even though there were still miscues.

I agree. He also used his legs to extend the play long enough to throw the ball.

We had somewhat of a running game last night and I’m trying to figure out how.
I don’t think SC is weak up front, right?

I agree that was encouraging. When it’s there you take it.

Our offense was awesome last night except for four plays:
1. Fumble by RB JJ on the goal line - Inexcusable mistake.
2. Interception by Nuss inside the ten - mental mistake by a fifth year QB.
3. Interception by Nuss on the overthrow of Parker. Did not complete his motion because of fear of contact.
4. Hilton drop. (I have not seen this; just read about it)
Numbers 1 & 2 are fixable. Three is not and four is fixable if you bench Hilton, which I have to admit is the logical choice now, unless injuries necessitate playing him.
SC is a poor defense, but still, the production last night was a great sign minus those four plays. We should always expect a play or two like that, but four is bad. Fix that and this offense is starting to cook.

I think the word “awesome“ is the mimosas talking, but not gonna disagree with most everything else you said.

Honestly every team we played this year we should have blown out of the water with the defense we have it's just offense cannot get out of it's OWN way. Whether it be Nuss making bone head decisions, turnovers, etc.

Saw a strong desire to succeed from the whole offense. Including the coaching staff. Very nice start.

Nuss needs protection or else his play implodes. He could be similar to Tom Brady if he was a warrior but I really doubt he ever grows a backbone.
He panics when the defense gets close to him.
Our defense broke LaNorris Sellers last night but he is a gifted QB, who can win games by himself. If LaNorris transferred to LSU we would win a national championship with our elite defense.
