A few friends and I are going to our first LSU game. We are from out of town (Boston area) and this is also our first SEC game. Seeing Pats Saints game tomorrow too. Driving from NOLA. Lot 406. Any advice on best way to tailgate for the game? What time should we get there, best areas to go to hop into a tailgate? We want to make sure we make the most out of the experience. Thanks!

For the full experience, head out there now. But pace yourself.

From an older thread… A lot of this doesn’t apply to you since this is just for game day, but this should definitely help.

Tailgates near the Indian mounds are a prime spot or going down the “hill” from the mounds towards the stadium. That’s where the LSU players are dropped off and the band follows that same path. I’d say plan to be on campus before 2:00. Folks will be very hospitable.
