A federal judge approved a request to remove the fence put up by ICE agents outside the Broadview, Illinois ICE facility.
Broadview officials had sued, saying the fence — put up on Sept. 23 outside the ICE facility on Beach Street — blocked a public road and could impact first responders at the scene.
Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson said the judge's ruling is "validation of local law and, most importantly, a decisive win for public safety."

No ICE fencing is in the Constitution?

Trump should get around to that in the next 3-4 years. How is it any different than the fence they put up in DC in 2020?

There is a war being waged on America.

This could have the opposite effect.

I bet he was fine with Nancy putting up 14 foot tall fencing at the capital back in 2020.

We have a lot of judges who are political activist rather than judges.
That's not the job.
What a mess.

Once the court throws it out, it opens the door for ICE in other areas and there won't be anything they can do about it.

That *might* actually be a legitimate legal stance. Could a private company put up a fence there like that? I dunno.
But what I do know is these judges, mayors, and IL Governor are all over anything/everything that ICE does, but they just let the protestors break laws over and over, and say/do nothing.
What's it called, "selective outrage"?

You only make moves like that when you're terrified that the folks who were there 2 weeks prior come back with all their guns that they inexplicably forgot to bring to the very violent and serious #MuhInsurrection.

I dont know how that will go. The fence is literally closing off a street with other businesses on it.
Without fences
Fence across road
Looking down the street from where the fence is:

No, it's not legitimate. ICE has authority under the Homeland Security Act to protect it's facilities, and this includes encroachment onto public sidewalks or streets if the situation is warranted.

Agreed. I don't think they have an option here as the roadway isn't federal property and there are businesses which are impacted by the fence.

What businesses? I'm not able to discern much from the posted photos.

Can’t they move the fence off the road and put it along the sidewalk?
