Is the USA different now than pre-Covid 2019?

Not that the 2010's had excellent customer service and work ethics, but it just seems like ever since the Covid shutdown it seems like employees care even less than before along with the absurdly high price increases since then.
Is it just rose colored glasses or do you all see the same thing? Will things ever turn back around?

Young people are too lazy to return to the office, let alone do any work.
All they know how to do is whine about how easy the Boomers had it working in Steel Mills & 100 degree factories.

I agree with your premise and was going to make a similar thread.
Good customer service and quality work seem to be at all time lows.

I look at 2020/covid like 9/11. Both events negatively changed the US and the world in general.

The biggest difference is the cost of living, asset prices, and our national debt growth. Not much else has changed much outside of maybe more people working from home or hybrid work and the mass adoption of generative AI. Few more trannies.
We had been going down this road of polarization in politics for many years. Covid just accelerated it a bit.

I feel like people and society has changed for the worst.
The biological warfare and psy-ops that followed truly exposed the mental health issues in the country and contributed to the acceleration of issues across the board.
So many familes and small businesses were broken up and destroye, people lost everything.
Some people operate like zombies and to me, seems like people are not operating pre-covid like. But j could be wrong. But that’s how I feel that society never did bounce back back fully.

The USA is always different than it was six years before.

The mass amount of people working from home and not desiring to leave their house is destroying our society in so many ways.

Common people were expected to keep working trash essential jobs while prices and homes skyrocketed with pay staying the same.

Nearly 5 years later, we as a society are still recovering.
You had kids miss 2 years of education essentially. An entire generation spent a period of time confined indoors to nothing but video games and virtual entertainment. We're now seeing some of those types go out into the working world and have no idea how to converse with people or handle adversity.
The decision to shut down the economy may have set this country back 10 years. We'll eventually get back to a level similar to 2019, but probably not until 2029.

My experience around the pandemic was slightly different because I was homebound for so much of the beginning of it
But I did notice the difference when I got back out that there were kind people , polite people were still being polite.
but the selfish people seemed far more comfortable in expressing their selfishness and their greed than I had seen before
The norms had shifted from politeness being expected to rudeness being accepted

Yes.
I think healthy people that wear masks should not be allowed to reproduce.

Having good customer service is expensive. You’re better off shopping through Mom & Pop’s if you want good customer service.

Poor boomers had it so bad having to work an 8 hour shift at the factory and then getting drunk at the bowling alley and driving home to their 3k house and wife that had food cooked for 30 years before getting a pension for life

Not really.
I personally dont know anyone that has even mentioned it in the last 3 years+.
If you didn't lose a loved one due to Covid and you're still "suffering", you likely have always had issues and always will.
Life's tough, wear a helmet.

Baw could have quit the factory and pumped gas and still bought a home. That's not possible today.

You noodle armed soy boys wouldn't have lasted 1 day in a steel mill.
You can even handle driving to your cubicle and sitting in an air conditioned office.
You're the most pathetic generation in history.
The first generation that can't seem to figure things out.
Now stfu barista boy and bring my coffee, I have a 2pm Tee Time.
