1. Much needed bye week helped us heal (the players, not necessarily some of the fans)
2. We only have one loss (only six total SEC and Big Ten teams are undefeated and two of them in Big Ten play each other this weekend...and we play two of them: A&M and OU)
3. Two of next three games at home, plus a game at Vandy that we can win
4. Corso picked us to win the whole thing

It ok to be critical of the team to date but still have optimism...

If it wasn’t for those pesky offensive coaches and brain dead Kelly I’m sure many would have more faith

Quit being so logical. Has no room for that on this board.

You’re forgetting we have the same coaching staff, same O line, same QB and the remaining SEC teams aren’t bad (well, maybe Arkansas)

When someone became famous for making big picks every weekend for 40 years, sometimes a higher power pulls through from him when he decides to call it quits.

For example, he was 6 for 6 is last show (week 1), even picking FSU over Bama. I might be a little superstitious, but Corso picking LSU to win the natty is definitely a positive.

For the sake of your family I hope you’re not betting your house on that ! If so I’ll take some side action on it!

There’s several realities at play here. Your perspective is purely based on which one you feel is most important.

Reality #1 LSU is 4-1 and 10-2, or better gets you in the playoffs. All LSU has to do is go 6-1 the rest of the way and LSU is in the playoffs where everyone wants us.

Reality #2 LSU has a significantly improved defense this year that can keep us close in every game, which gives us a chance to go 6-1, or better the rest of the way.

Reality #3 LSU has almost no running game. Football 101: Teams that run the ball well and stop the run are championship contenders. Teams that can’t do both, almost always are pretenders and not contenders.

Reality #4 LSU has a starting QB that looks injured and hasn’t played anywhere close to expectations going into the season. Without a good running game to lean on, this puts LSU at a disadvantage going forward against better competition if QB play doesn’t significantly improve.

Optimism is OK , but reality usually tells the story...

Vandy , A&M , 'Bama, Okie

If the Sooners have their QB back, we'll be lucky to go 2 - 2 against these teams

1 - 3 looks to be more realistic....hurt QB and no running game doesn't bode well for LSU...and our defense can't carry the whole load...

We still have to play offense though. Only downside to your logic
