Athlete Name C Att Yds C% Avg TD Int Lng QB Rate
Peyton Houston (Jr) 19 25 428 .760 22.5 6 82 157.1

This kid puts up video game numbers every single damn week. It never ends. 7 TDs really because he had 1 rushing.

Is he dropping dimes or is it a lot of catch and run? Either way my body is ready.

I'll get excited if/when he puts up similar numbers at LSU.

I’m so ready for this kid to be on campus. Day one freshman starter. BK will try as hard as possible but there is no way to keep Payton off the field.

I would like to see MVB getting some playing time right now, too. Let's see if the offense performs better with MVB behind center. If he doesn't keep Nuss back there and salvage the season as best they can.

This still doesn't take away from Peyton's abilities.

I love him but it's so hard to project a player like him at the next level due to his district. Has he attended big elite national camps? I think that's where you get an easier gauge of his ability. If he looks good against elite QBs across the country in those camps it could say a lot. His film is fun to watch!

Why is this said so much? Did any of you guys watch him last year. I did. he's not a runner like you think he is. His feet can extend plays but he's not a "great" runner as a ball carrier. He's good enough but nothing like you'd see from some of the dual threats in SEC.

If you took away his sacks last year(which was a lot due to awful line) he only ran for 100 yards in 10 games on 60 attempts. Not exactly blowing the doors off running ability.

If the kid can play, why would the coach “try as hard as possible” to keep him off of field?!? Because you are retarded, that’s why.

Relax. I'm playing into the stereotype that BK does not like playing freshman. BK has even joked about it.

I know the knock on 1-5A is that they don’t play any defense… but think of the pressure that puts on the offenses. You have to score every time.

And Pop has met that pressure this year

Part of being a good QB is placing balls to WR to where they can get high YAC. There can be 15 yard passes thrown behind or high or low that limits YAC versus leading them efficiently.

I’m watching him play right now and this kid is legit. Not getting much help from his receivers so far, but man this kid can sling it

I couldn't find Houston's rushing stats, but according to local press he finished 14/22 175 yards and 4 TDs last night vs Capt Shreve. They probably shut it down in the 2nd half considering Evangel won 71-25.

Evangel is averaging 54 ppg. Pretty insane.

LINKyea, really a statue back there. Lol. He ran for 690 yards last year and 7 tds. What are you talking about?Nobody thinks he's Lanoris Sellers or Marcel Reed But he can make people miss sure as hell aint Garrett Nussmeier. He has several 50 plus yard rushing tds this year alone. Nobody is saying he's gonna take over a game in the sec with his legs but he can pick up 3rd n longs all day long.

They don’t play defense in northwest LA. Should take that into consideration.
