The idea of criminalizing human emotions is ridiculous to me. Maybe the best way to get rid of hate crime laws is to turn them on the left so that they can experience it.

The left and Muslims both get odd protection from courts. Muslim women seem to be the best protected class as they fill more boxes. Trump administration working in right direction but unfortunately can only go so quick. English views have rapist of underage girls getting off of repercussions because sex with minor sis part of their culture

As long as we are going to have these ridiculous hate crimes, then we should enforce them to our side the full extent.
If the other side doesn’t like it, then maybe we should all agree to getting rid of the hate crime laws altogether, because it’s a ridiculous concept.
Full disclosure, in normal circumstances I think 10 years for someone to spray paint a building is steep. But we all know they would not show us the same mercy in reverse, so we need to maximize the punishment.

I abhor "hate crimes" they were written exclusively to protect blacks.
That being said what they did should absolutely be charged with one to the full extent. They should charge them federally as well.
Can you imagine what would happen if you moved to Saudi Arabi or Pakistan or Indonesia and tagged up a mosque? You would probably be lynched immediately, you would face the death penalty or life in prison otherwise.
We cant be the worlds doormat for these mooselimbs.
