The Trump administration is planning to roll out the first tranche of bailout payments for farmers in the coming weeks, likely using billions of dollars in funding from an internal USDA account, according to three people with direct knowledge of the matter. But it won’t be enough: USDA’s Commodity Credit Corporation fund — which President Donald Trump previously tapped to provide $28 billion in farm aid during his first-term trade war with China — has just $4 billion left in the account. Trump officials, including those at the Treasury Department, are looking at how to tap tariff receipts or other funding to supplement the payments without triggering a messy fight in Congress.

So.....Trump gets outplayed by Xi on the tariff game, leading Xi to go cut a deal wit Argentina for soybeans thereby screwing American farmers necessitating said bail out.......then bailing out Milei in Argentina.
Argentina wins
Xi wins
US foots the bill......farmers get free money, Argentina gets almost free money.
Talk about winning

I'd rather he send it to US farmers than to Ukraine or Israel

I'd like to sample the crowd here...
Growing up in Louisiana I've met a lot of farmers... mainly up and around pointe coupee.
Every single one of them was loaded. Elegant homes, expensive vehicles, frequent luxury vacations...
I have never met a poor farmer. Is this just some regional bias I have or do yall know a lot of poor farmers that constantly need bailouts?

Tax breaks or assistance for someone who actually works for a living?… I’m OK with that. Much more so than someone who uses government handouts as a lifestyle.

Need to use some of that tariff money.

Bailing out Argentina now Bailing out Farmers. Not what I voted for

What I want to see happen is taking back all land that is now owned by foreign interests.
Other countries will allow foreign interests to own buildings and equipment but not land.
That is the way it should be.

We need to spend our money is America. If true then I support it to an extent. I hate all free government handouts but if they are happening then at least the money stays home

Was enough to trigger welfare for the farmers

Trump has to keep voters in the yes column. I approve.
