How confident are you that if MVB got the start, LSU offensive production would increase?

I think it would immediately increase. The offense would average more 10 points more per game.

What do I base this assertion on?

2025 Nuss lead offense yards per game through 5 games: 364.2, 27.0 points per game.

2024 MVB MSU lead offense through 12 games: 377.2. 25.8 points per game.

Right now Nuss is playing like Freshman MVB at Mississippi State with hardly any SEC talent around him.

How much better could MVB perform with the SEC talent that surrounds Nuss right now? IMO he performs a lot better than his Mississippi State performance last year which would be better than Nuss right now and about equal to 10 more points per game.

Very confident. Nuss isn’t 100%. Whether that’s mental or physical, they won’t tell us.

MVB’s more athletic, throws a good deep ball, and more than anything, is hungry for an opportunity. If Nuss is healthy and his poor performance really is mostly due to lack of off-season preparation and conditioning, sit him down and give the other guy a shot. It’ll help them both down the line

I wish we wouldn't have played nuss against la tech, or at minimum sela... his throwing motion/ deep ball is off and you can tell hes trying to avoid turning his hips... why he has that upper body thrust to get the ball there on deep balls. Hes never done that, and its exactly what youd do with f'd up ab, torso, whatever. They should have given mvp start against la tech, and decide on Florida game if he can handle the load, or assess if nuss can toss 40 yd deep balls. If not he needs to sit and get healed up.

Kelly just admitted he needs to rest the next 2 weeks. Hes hurt

Running game and downfield passing would be better. Short and intermediate passing worse. Redzone offense much better because you have to run the ball down there.

The only difference would be MVB would be able to run because just like when JD5 was here our OL is as strong as tissue paper

It’s also very likely we could’ve lost 24-0 to ole Miss if MVB started.

Apparently he’s still “learning” the offense

Very confident but here's the deal. Nuss with an average OC>MVB with an average OC.
The problem is we have a below average OC who only knows how to run an offense that suits MVB better than it does Nuss. So if Sloan is our OC then we are better off with MVB but the ceiling is capped. We can't change OCs right now unfortunately so MVB is the best option we have to salvage the season but I don't see the ceiling being high enough to win it all

This x350.

If Nuss isn’t injured, then he is obviously better. But MVB’s running ability alone, would’ve helped us tremendously against ole miss. There were so many holes to tuck and run with defenders backs turned.

I think Nuss is a mess physically right now and BK has been a complete arse / POS for continuing to play him like this.

I don't see why coaches have been unwilling to try him. It's not like a series or 2 would hurt compared to what the offense has shown each week. The passes I have seen him throw looked very crisp and he showed some athletic ability when the pocket broke down. I am pretty confident the offense would look much better.

Something that we really need to keep an eye on is Aaron Anderson’s injury. If he’s out, or even limited, against USCe that hurts Nuss even more. Anderson controls the middle of the field, and LSU’s other receivers are all deep threats or hybrid RBs (Thomas).

The WR corps without Anderson is much better suited to have MVB.

The bar is pretty low today, so the offense would probably improve on his running ability alone.

Yea I feel like that is just a bull shite excuse to justify why Kelly won’t/cant start MVB against USCe and will continue to destroy the season trotting Nuss out there.
