Portland police are little bitches. They're used to just standing there and getting hit and firebombed by antifa....and no longer consider it a big deal. It's crazy how politicians and elected and appointed officials can weaken a police force. Weaken it to the point where it's a laughing stock.

It’s not the officers. It’s the mayor and city council.
Police chiefs are hired. They selected the type of law enforcement they wanted. The people voted in the type of leadership that would hire this police chief.

In other first-world and otherwise civilized countries, this nonsense does not fly without harsh repercussions. I actually don't think these Antifa and other degenerate protesters are dealt with harshly enough.

They need to be shown it’s over and they’re done harassing federal officers and law abiding citizens. If done swiftly and severely most will drop their ideals. Either the gov gets it done or a the public gets enough and forms a posse to take the block back. Second option may be the better.
