The money is basically an extension of our defense budget. If we completely severed ties with Israel, that just means more of our intelligence and military folks on the ground in the ME and higher defense spending.

Not much into geopolitics and anything religious, I check out on it, but the Israel thing is very werid to me as it seems the common man on both sides (Dem and Repub) appears to be against the support for Israel, and yet our leaders seem to bend over backwards for them.
