We all know Ole Miss is run defense is porous. We should be able to control the clock and run against them. If for some reason our run game is stagnant, are the coaches going to stick with it in a move that could cost us the game?

I think some of the issues with the run game is that Caden was not hitting the right hole. There were times if he just bounced it to outside, he would have big gains. Instead he cut back into the pile or ran toward the pile.

Johnson was impressive last week. Hit the holes with a burst and also ran thru the tackles. I don't believe Caden has been fully healthy all year. I think something was tweaked in the Clemson game. His first carry he bounced it to the outside and had a huge gain. Ever since has not had a burst.

I think the run game will be good and Nuss able to use play action to hit deep throws.

Yes, they are stubborn and force the run. If successful I’ll be surprised based on early season.

Stop running that trash up the middle and get these running backs on the outside with tosses

Or the OL didn’t open the holes they were supposed to but the RBs are discouraged from deviating from the called play and try for that hole anyhow even though a run to the outside is open.

This isn’t something new with Wilson.

Let’s be honest here.

If we can’t run the ball vs Ole Miss, we are in trouble moving forward and probably aren’t going to make the playoffs.

I don’t mean we have to drop 250 on the ground tomorrow but if we can’t control the LOS and get the tough 2-3 yards on the ground when we need them, then this is going to be another 3 loss year ending in the who gives a shite bowl.

To be honest, you should still try to run even when it isn’t working. You may pop one off and still be less predictable.

Nuss threw the ball 50x last year against Ole Miss

pretty sure that over half those "up the middle" runs we're improvised cutbacks by Durham when he should have followed his blockers to the outside.
