I find it comical we are 37 trillion in debt and have major issues at home but we are offering lifelines to Argentina.

Argentina is undergoing a radical economic experiment with a libertarian regime under Millei that has drastically cut government and regulations.

However, the left in Argentina is still strong and opposes Millei at every turn. Millei’s progress is unstable and the initial economic shocks from cutting government to the bone hasn’t yet resulted in a big economic rebound.

With that said, it has massively slowed inflation, ended the Argentine housing crisis, and seems like it’s setting the stage for a huge economic recovery, but nothing is certain right now. There is also speculation that Millei is attempting to replace the Argentine peso with American dollars.

Could they ever go the way of Nicaragua? That's probably why we stay interested in them.

Disagree.
Argentina must show the world that libertarianism can thrive.
Have you been paying attention to Milei?
He has worked miracles down there.
Need to see it through.

That's where the schism between your type of Republican and my type of Republican differ. Let's see who prevails. And let's see what POTUS does. What type of Republican is he?

We need to support our allies, especially those closest to us. And the Argentine president is one of POTUS' closest friends and allies.

Otherwise, the Russians and the Chinese will be more than happy to fill the void. (see Venezuela, see Cuba, see Colombia, etc.)

If we're going to enforce the Monroe Doctrine then it might be in our interest.

We pay for a band aid now, or our funding of them goes up 1000% when they turn back to Marxism (as all Latin American countries seem to do) for "humanitarian aid."

Their left is doing to Millei what the left did to Trump in his first term. The left worldwide never stops trying to destroy.
