It's because people stopped going to church. They simply don't know right from wrong.

Who's teaching the next generation? It's not the church, because kids aren't going. Adults aren't going.

I know that people have a natural instinct about right and wrong. But these leftist morons don't understand why they keep losing their jobs. They literally don't comprehend.

Since we can't pray in school anymore the kids are not hearing "Thou Shalt not Kill". I mean that's pretty simple to understand. There's no qualifier after the word "Kill".

Regardless of your feelings about the existence of God, hanging out with people who are making an effort to just be better, can't be a bad thing.

I don't know. It just seems like common sense to me.

People stopped having morals and I don't think that has anything to do with Church. I don't go to Church but I have morals which come from how I was raised not from listening to a pastor.

Also what happened alot in my generation(mid 30s) is when we actually found out what these Priest and Pastors having been doing to children for 100 years while covering it up and like many we totally turned away from traditional church because many of the pastors and priest are the worst of the worst in society.

Unfortunatly for many who do go to church now, the pulpits are filled with pastors who do not preach God's Word. Many preach a feel good gospel or your best life now. And on the other end of the spectrum you have social justice warriors preaching for LGBTQ+ rights or BLM. So the problem isn't just people not attending church. We need pastors who will preach God's word.

I think lower church attendance was a part of it. But then in response too many churches began to secularize over time to get people back. Of course, that defeats the purpose. So you either had non-church goers or church goers who had their secular desires confirmed by the church.

Right.. And the Dog fears punishment from the owner..

I been meaning to post that it is a lack of fear of God. Since they believe there is no God, then there will be no punishment from God. And then when God removes their blessings and bad things happen to them, they blame someone else. or another culture, or something.

Proverbs 14:12 says, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death"

There is no morality without a standard, the standard is the Word.

Wonder how native Americans, or Mormons, or zaoists, taoists, Buddhists, or others could possible have morals without the Bible?
Quite perplexing.

You are probably right.

But I’m squarely a millennial, and almost everyone I know with a family goes to church. I think things are trending upward in that regard.

I don’t go to church and I know it’s not right to kill someone.

I also know scumbags who go to church regularly and still aren’t moral.

First... I don't know the morals of all you listed.

Second... this thread is started in a Christian religious thread given the title.

Third... "General Revelation" is available to all in equal measure.

I don't go to church and, miraculously, I was able to figure out that killing a husband and father of two is pretty terrible.

One could argue the femininity of the modern church is part of the reason that Christians put up with insanity and depravity of the left.

Iceland has the most crime free society in the world. Fewer than 10% attend church.

Can't fathom what the reason would be.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

OP's thesis was that lack of church attendance is what ails us. I was stating that the numbers don't bear that out.
