Kinda long for an ad, but it's funny.

As has been said many times, the reason you have a Second Amendment is to protect your rights as stated in the First Amendment.

They should've used all muslims in the ad.

Britain is quickly making the Old Soviet Union seem mild.

We can blast people for censorship?

That country has fallen. The Britain of old is rolling over in its grave. Englandistan is quickly becoming a hellscape.

And Charles, and Starmer will say how they are the "bastion of democracy" for the next couple of days. Trump needs to do to them what he did to the African leader.

How was it banned? Who banned it?

Good commercial though.

With a touch of Dick Van Dyke "Step In TIme" from Mary Poppins thrown in.

Clearcast — the body that pre-approves UK television ads — rejected the film for violating advertising standards. It concluded the ad pitched crypto as a fix for economic problems “without sufficient evidence” and with no proper risk warnings, breaching the broadcast code. Without Clearcast approval, networks couldn’t air the commercial. Brian Armstrong, Coinbase’s CEO, responded by decrying the decision as censorship. On X (Twitter), he noted they weren’t allowed to run the ad on TV and quipped that “if you can’t say it, there must be a kernel of truth in it”. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) later clarified it hadn’t banned the ad since it never aired.

That would’ve been a tough casting call.

Where is your link? Here's mine:

quote:

A supposedly banned Coinbase ad is appearing on YouTube videos belonging to Channel 4, one of Britain's biggest broadcasters, sources familiar with the matter told Decrypt.

The cryptocurrency exchange released its “Everything Is Fine” ad last month—a big-budget, two-minute commercial that depicts the U.K. as bleak, rat infested and dirty, with prices in supermarkets spiraling out of control.

The crypto exchange published the video directly on YouTube and social media platforms after UK television networks declined to air the content.
