VP Can longevity

How long are you getting out of your VP cans until they start leaking?
My first cans held up pretty good and rode in the bed daily. This second set (3) are all leaking at the bend under the cap. Yep, uv is killing them but it’s a pia to remove daily.
Full disclosure; from time to time I will max them out (6+ gal).

I have one thats about 5 years old or so and literally just noticed today that the plastic piece that the clear tube connects to the tank cap is broken. Ordered a replacement tube and parts along with the hose bender for around $10. Should be here tomorrow.
ETA: first time I've ordered replacement parts for them but they seem to be pretty easy to find and cheap. How they'll hold up is anyone's guess.

As in the actual plastic has cracked around the neck of the jug, or it’s leaking from the screw top somewhere? Everything besides the jug itself can be replaced for a few bucks. I don’t think I’ve ever actually worn one out, they usually get stolen by little brothers long before that.

Nah, the hump on either side of the handle, put your ne at the road that had a pinhole leak. Now all three leak in the same spot.

I switched to Jerry cans, way better longevity, I keep 3-4 in the bed of my truck 8 months out of the year.
