They took Charlie from us.

The same setting they tried to take Trump out.

Knowing his wife & kids will suffer just hurts my heart. Charlie was the nice version of our movement. A line was crossed yesterday

It's called grief.

And even though we didn't know him personally, we know he represented the best of us, the best of decency, the best of our values. And that's been taken away and the grief will never go away, just abate some.

Yeah. This one just feels different for some reason. He wasn’t some far right conservative spewing a bunch of racist stuff. He’s your normal, every day Conservative man.

And he could have been our son, brother, etc.

and just to pile on this tragic death is the "celebration" by certain people in our society of the murder of a human life.

I am having a tough time digesting both of these things....

Very much so… I actually took some time off from work yesterday afternoon when I got the news. My son is the same age and thoughts of Chalie’s family just ran through my mind for the rest of the day. The left is completely unhinged and willing to do anything to get their way… They made it very clear. They have no boundaries.

Not shook. But definitely re evaluating some things going on in my life and how I deal with them. I got lazy about carrying, not anymore. I've gotten lazy with my relationship with Christ, not anymore. Its time to really walk the walk.

I had trouble eating lastnight and this morning.

The one guy who devoted his life to changing young minds to the right through hardwork & Christian values was taken from us for us all to see.

yes. Maybe more "shook."

Yesterday, I was feeling mostly shock and anger.

Today, I woke up at 3:30 am and couldn't get back to sleep for thinking of Charlie, his wife and children, and that awful video I accidently saw just scrolling as I looked for news.

And now, I'm just very sad. I called my mom today to wish her a happy 75th birthday (her birthday was yesterday but her phone battery had died and I couldn't get through until today). She was sad, too. I had no idea my 75 year old mom loved Charlie Kirk so much, but such was his reach. We talked about his life and the impact he has had on the world, and it felt good to share that with her, but also terrible to think she loved him so much and he died on her birthday.

This world, man... I think I live in a different world than the one I believed I did yesterday morning.

My late Grandmother who died in 2023 (88 years old) told me about Charlie Kirk about 5 or so years ago. Read his book and everything.

He had such an impact on everyone.

I dont think I slept more than an hour last night. I shouldn't have watched the video, I didn't even seek it out I just randomly watched it when this whole thing started showing up on the internet yesterday. What happened was bad enough but then on top of that there's knowing there's actually people celebrating and happy about what happened.

The whole thing is just infuriating. Allegedly "our side" controls all three branches of government but this kind of stuff keeps happening with zero recourse.

I’m 74 years old! I know, I know, one of those “horrible boomers”! But my heart and my eyes just won’t quit crying! All the RIP’s just aren’t enough! I would gladly have given what’s left of my life for thus young man to continue what he was doing and was able to accomplish with the younger generation! Call me a sissy old boomer if you want to! But I called in sick today cause I didn’t want to be around people!

Yes. I don’t care about CFB or anything else right now now. I honestly wouldn’t care if they cancelled the entire season. It just doesn’t seem as important as two weeks ago. None of it does. I want to be at church and with my family.
