He would be fricking unstoppable! He and Lamar are both ridiculous lol

If he had a defense some other unit would be bad (oline). The problem is the GM fricks up draft picks like no one else

I’m not going to do all the research, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bills had the most originally drafted players on their roster in the whole league.
Knox, Kincaid, Allen, Davis, White, Hamlin, Milano, Dawkins, Coleman, Shakir, Cook, Rousseau, Oliver, amongst more

As of last year Bills were 19th in the nfl for homegrown players at 57.6%

Link, I’m interested in looking at this

You can't have everything when you pay one player nearly 14% of your cap. Allen is obviously other-worldly, but there's only so much money to go around with a salary cap.
Since we're on the topic of Buffalo's defense, whenever the camera found the DB #8 for Buffalo last night, he was constantly wide-eyed like a deer in headlights. Game was moving far too fast for him, he looked lost.

I don’t know why they haven’t done one for this season yet. I think the ravens are now number 1 though based on tweets

That’s from 2023. Still helpful, but the way rosters turnover it could be materially different

I would think Buffalo needs to be high on this. They aren’t ever going to dominate free agency

I’m surprised their total numbers are as low compared to the league as they are, but it seems like almost all of their best players are homegrown. Just from watching, it seems like more than most of the rest of the league.

They've had top 5 defenses multiple times with Josh Allen.
Posted on 9/8/25 at 9:07 am to TigerMan327
They have had very good defenses and either by gods fury or injury luck they have absolutely collapsed in the playoffs
Maybe this year they can be the reverse of that

They do pretty well in the later rounds
But they cannot hit on first rounders

Since 2016, they’ve had 9 first round picks. Those include Tre White, Josh Allen, Greg Rousseau, and Ed Oliver. They also took Dalton Kincaid and Shaq Lawson in the 1st round. Seems just fine to me

I still can’t believe they won.
They were +1200 at one point, probably higher later on. That was in like the 2nd or 3rd quarter.

Tre White was the previous GM. Beane took over the next draft, and his very first selection in the draft was one of the best picks any GM will ever make by drafting Josh Allen.
The Bills were picking 21st in that draft. Beane made two separate trades to move up from 21st all the way to the 7th pick.
Bills fans are frustrated that they haven’t had any other home runs first rounders picks.

He picked Elam on the first round in 2022, he already isn’t on the team and he 100% cost the team a trip to the Super Bowl last year. Thats the biggest sticking point to bills fans

If GM’s got fired over one bad first round pick there wouldn’t be enough guys in football to fill the job.
But incoherent melting over one data point when the dude has built one of the best rosters in football in fricking Buffalo is about par for the course

Why is it so hard for fans to understand this?
