As the field clears now I think we can agree that our win, against a very good team in hostile territory, was more impressive than Ohio state’s win at home against an over rated Texas team.

Yet, we won’t see us jump to the number #1 spot. It’s harder for teams to move up than it is for teams to get knocked down in the rankings.

I agree, but when the defending champion takes care of business against the previous #1 team at home they'll get benefit of the doubt.

Yeah maybe. It’s also possible UT has a great season and Clemson goes off the rails and our win doesn’t look as impressive.

I think it’s more likely that Texas is a better overall team than Clemson but that’s just my opinion

Texas plays Clemson instead of LSU and I'd bet they're still 0-1. You may be right by the end of the year but Arch has a LONG way to go.

Because it’s week one. Wait, if THEY (LSU) are good then at the end of the season THEY will be #1.

I agree with this...but

Why would you expect this?

Why would you care about this at this point in the season?

Arch absolutely would not have gotten a win in that environment. The Clemson arena was flat out deafening don’t think he would’ve had the poise that nuss had

I have no desire to be #1 right now. I’d rather we move up as little as possible and feel really disrespected. Hell, move us down for all I care.

A bit premature to make that call. You know you don't have to have an opinion about everything after week 1?

They don’t hand out trophies for being number 1 after week 1.

I mean, they’re only overrated because they were ranked at the top

Texas is a good team

Some analysts think the OSU v UT did not show much on either side.

+1

Be #1 and stay #1.

There are quite a few fans that have what Saban called "catastrophe syndrome" and are scared to be ranked #1.

Not me.

Be #1 and stay #1!

I don't want LSU to be number 1 this early. It's usually a jinx. Linger in the top ten until November.

I’m not an analyst but they didn’t show much of anything. 2 teams with no QB play to speak of

I saw CBSsports did a pre AP wk2 ranking on their youtube channel and had ND move up after the loss

you wouldn’t bet a dollar that happens

Clemson's team would have to die off for that to happen.
