There were so many signs in the stadium that said Death Valley. It was like Gordon McKernan marketing in there. Fans were wearing “Real Death Valley” shirts. To me, that’s straight up insecurity. We know we are Death Valley with nothing else needed.

LSU was clearly better. That’s my takeaway

I just watched from the TV but the whole pregame thing rubbed me the wrong way. Seemed like they were warming up for broadway. Honestly kinda feel bad for some of those kids

Their entire fanbase is a bunch of stuck up dickheads that think they’re sophisticated while speaking in country accents. They have this pompous stature to them with absolutely no substance behind it. Many of them talked down about LSU/Louisiana when I would talk to them while tailgating on Saturday.

The consensus amongst their fanbase was definitely an expectation of an easy win, and they were incredibly bitter after it didn’t happen. It reminded me of how they were talking and acting before the natty in 2019. frick them.

I bet it kills them that lowly LSU from the dirty swamp of Louisiana just continues to whoop their arses.

Why did you feel it necessary to make this post.....if not for your own insecurity???

The campus is beautiful, but around the stadium was filthy with beer cans and trash and smelled like Boubon Street in July with all the Porta Potties...honestly it stunk.. The massively steep hills around the outside if the stadium were really hard to traverse and there was no signage to help find your gate.
Watching the team buses speed around the stadium..and I mean SPEED..to drop the players atop the hill for the Howard's rock thing was very cool with fricking Dabo standing smack face first in the front window...the stadium was OK with mediocre food but clean bathrooms. Fans were very nice for the most part....The upper deck where the LSU tix were was STEEP...and I found the stadium very quiet after the opening hooplah. Glad I went but it was NOT the real Death Valley...not even close to an LSU game experience

I got a completely opposite vibe. Everyone we talked to was talking about how they hoped we had a great time up there. Everyone was asking what we did while we were there and inviting us into their tailgate and offering food and drink. The only idiot I came across was some drunk college kid who growled at my 9 year old. As we were laughing, his friend shoved him in a bush and we all laughed.

I saw nothing but class from Clemson. They have some wacky traditions but they are traditions and at least they hold on to them instead of trying to be something they aren’t. I am looking forward to them going to LSU and seeing what it is like down there.

We also forget we are the gold standard in tailgating. Nobody has ever come close to LSU’s campus for a big game. There is a reason we are #1 in tailgating.

I was in the upper deck and it was pretty loud. Not our DV loud but it was impressive given the shape of the stadium.

I had good interactions with the fans. One guy told me to be prepared for field recognitions almost every stoppage and he was right. They hit people up for money to their version of TAF about 10 times too which was weird

Same here. Even the drunk college kids were being so nice. My 11 year old son played beer pong at a tailgate run by freshmen. The tailgate had no alcohol and the cups had water in them. They were making the best out of their situation. I guess they can get in a lot of trouble with the school if they get an MIP.
