It looks like a prime Corey Raymond DBU defense. I forget the year, but it reminded me of the game against Auburn and Stidham where in the second half Stidham couldn’t complete anything. He had a million opportunities because our offense sucked, but we broke up everything. I think Donté Jackson played out of his mind that night.

Donte Jackson was such a freak of nature but was still trying to put it all together in terms of scheme, technique, etc. at LSU

Dude was down to ball tho and he is def part of DBU legacy

No one could flash like him…. No one

Delane is a much more polished corner at this point in their respective careers. Donte Jackson has been an NFL starter since’18, so please take the above comment with a grain of salt. Delane may have a little lower ceiling, but he is very savvy at the position and as long as you got that gear to be able to go and get it, football iq is the next thing up as most important asset. Delane can feel out the game which is a big deal some people think.

What do you mean by this? I know “flash” is the new word everyone in the media has decided to use as a new slang to describe standing out/making plays.

What do you mean that no one could “flash” like D Jackson? I can name plenty who could make plays better than him.

Even before Peterson, LSU always had a respectable secondary. I think the first ‘Meme’ for me was watching Laron Landry body that bama frat qb. Good times meng

The fact we have stamps who didn’t play shows how stacked they are

How did Cooley play? He seemed to be sticky in coverage maybe but did slip a few

I don't want to take away from the secondary but it helps when the QB is running for his life most of the game. He got a few good balls off and the secondary made great plays.

Im excited this might be a real turnover creating defense

Clemson was forced to be relatively 1 dimensional and they knew pretty early on they were fricked.

Interested to see the level of play against a team with a stronger rushing attack

I even thought Cooley was in the right positions all game, but missed a couple tackles. I think he’ll be fine, just needs to wrap up and take better angles. We look locked down in the secondary, and we have plenty of depth.

Right positions but wrong angles…. That’s a phrase I really don’t want to hear anymore
