Week 0 Hawaii vs Stanford, offered more excitement than that.

Good defenses but both teams played super conservative knowing this game means absolutely nothing as long as they don't get blown out.

You're referencing a game, just by its score, from 14 years ago... and everyone knows what game you're referring to. THAT is the mark of a great football game, whether or not it entertained you.

They are both good treats, but I think they are both a little overrated. They’ll likely end the season in the top 10 or top 15, bu I don’t think either is a top 5 team.

We are in an era where there is no best team, IMO.

I agree both are overrated. But they are both one of probably 7-10 that are legit contenders.

Was entertaining for me. Some actual defense was played, and it came down to one score and a last minute drive.

There’s more than enough 55-48 games these days in college football.

The 9-6 game was amazing defense from both teams. Neither offense had a chance to do anything.

So this is what you expected from 1 vs 3?

What makes a great game to you? I thought it was a pretty good finish. The defenses carried the whole way, and we had some excitement with Texas cutting it to 7, getting a stop, and getting the ball back with a chance to tie or win and OSU defense stepped up to finish the game. The DL play was pretty good on both sides for most of the whole game.

So what exactly do you want to see when you watch a football game?

I feel like there's some middle ground between 14-7 and 55-48.

Both these team obviously have good defenses, but there was also some ugly and conservative offense.

For me it's quality play making on both sides of the ball. There's wasn't a whole lot of offensive play making out there.

Week 1. Neither of these starting QBs have seen any real live action yet this year.

Now they have. Both will get better.

Gee...wonder what was missing?

Oh, I know...importance! Urgency, feeling your season slip away out the gate, your national title dreams dashed like days of yore.

Fox: See ya' ll in a few months when we'll do this again.

Until then, players going through the motions, keeping draft stock up.
