Does anyone know if they will be doing that this year? I know we have to wait until the season is officially over until we know for sure but it will be nice to have a bit of a lower bill for a change.

With no damage to areas Entergy services I have to imagine it should be decent ($20-$50/month).

Entergy charges about $15 a month for a "storm restoration charge". They legit charge you for not being able to use your electricity that you already get charged extra money for. I only wish bad things upon that company.

I don't know what Entergy is doing in my neighborhood, but they have been replacing poles that were just installed after Ida. These are brand new poles.

Not sure if they were untreated and rush jobs after Ida. But they have been shutting off my power every other day. Luckily, I am not home.

Entergy has credited my bill for "Storm Restoration Offset" the last two months.

If that is what you're referring to don't get your hopes up too much. July's credit was $-5.11 and August's credit was $-3.64.

Yep. $17.27 for me. On the bill it’s itemized as “LURC 2012 Hurricane Charge.”

Such a joke

The fricked up thing is that Entergy does NOT cut limbs over their powerlines until after a storm or hurricane and then charge you extra money to restore power. Its a complete scam. They should only be able to charge you for storm restoration if they are actually taking precautions to prevent those occurrences.

I remember companies after Ida going out and cutting limbs above powerlines when they were installing new ones. That's absolutely criminal, they never even intended to prevent areas from losing power.

Entergy has private contractors for tree cutting and vegetation management. They do this shite on purpose because they can make more money on damages than they will by preventing those damages. shite like that should be investigated.

Probably not.

As a BR resident, I just got an extra $5 added to my bill for a “municipality fee.” Thanks metro council!

This was throughout St. Tammany Parish, not a specific neighborhood. I didn't base those allegations on 1 truck cutting branches..

Companies get paid for storm restoration and cleanup. If they do all that before the storms then it comes out of their pocket and they don't get as much on the back end for the restoration. Like I said its a scam.
