- Black juries have a 12% conviction rate against black defendants, vs a 59% against whites. So that indicates that there is a 47% interracial bias when you have black jurors
- White juries have a 33% conviction rate against white defendants, vs a 26% against blacks, which actually demonstrates a negative 7% interracial bias
Meaning whites are more likely to convict their co-racial group than they are to convict somebody across racial lines
Whereas black juries have a 12% conviction rate against their own and a 59% conviction rate against white people

Before everyone goes crazy, I 100% believe there is racial bias in jury trials. It would be absurd to think otherwise.

I find it really hard to believe such low conviction rates across the board. I’d be interested in the types of charges that are higher vs lower conviction rates.

I find this extremely hard to believe. The overall jury conviction rate is between 80 and 90%. So there's no way black jury on black defendant is 12%.

I absolutely blew my liberal(somehow, good ones) friends’ minds with a similar discussion on which side of the Supreme Court is more biased and voting in lockstep.
It started by me saying I think we’d find the republicans on the court are willing to side with the left more than the left breaks away from their side. This was soon after the whole media onslaught about the court being FAR RIGHT and the court needing a good packing.
How do people go through life not being able to weigh/measure things like this? Does nobody have intuition, solid memory, and a good internal scale?

Drawing from my own life experiences and things I have seen with my own two eyes...I think the average white person that sits on a jury is far more able to put any racial bias aside in order to let justice prevail than the average black person. Many black people who are now in their 60's and 70's are still clinging to that old saying "blacks can't be racists". Well, let me tell you...Yes, they can and many of them are!
Here's a great example. Do you think Al Sharpton is a racist? When that question is asked to a black person they respond that he is only promoting his people and he is not racist. Well, they would be wrong...because you can promote your people without hating on other people. Besides, in God's eyes we are all his people.
I was once called a very derogatory name by a fellow white guy because I was very good friends with a few black guys who played flag football with me. He said I was a "you know what" lover. I simply responded, no..I'm a people lover. That should be how life goes on in regard to race, IMO.
