Driving through some small podunk North Louisiana town they have a picture of one of our vehicles plates "speeding". The ticket was issued to me although I was not driving.

Do I bother filling out the bottom and mailing backing saying I was not driving or just put in trash?

Either way, not sure why these dumb fricks waste time on this. Hope nobody actually gives these shite hole towns money

If your wife’s boyfriend was speeding in your car, make him pay it

First you file a freedom of information act request with the town seeking pretty everything that you can think of relative to the ticket. Cops name, contract with camera operator, number of tickets issued, number of tickets paid, and anything else that you can dream up. The town then has to pay their attorney to gather all of the information. Then you refuse to pay it. They lose money. If everyone would do what I am saying there would be no camera tickets.

You're way too experienced here to not know this has been covered a million times.

Toss it in the trash and forget about it.

You could just rub your arse on it, facto bake a nice fart on it, and send it back in the return envelope.

I would say what if you wrote wrong address or deceased on the envelope and put it back in the mail box, but that might cause other issues with your regular mail.

1. They can't prove you were driving the vehicle.
2. They can't prove you ever received the ticket in the mail, or at least they couldn't before this thread.

Is the ticket from the actual town or is it a third party?

I got one for going through a traffic light. Did not pay. It's a scam and pure profit for the city or town. Who is my accuser? Who represents enforcement at a court of law? A camera?

I live in BR and had to work some shifts at Lane Hospital in Zachary circa 2021 (~4 shifts/mo for 3-4 months).
Received two camera speeding tickets from city of Baker during that time.
They sent notice after notice, but stopped sending me notices and threats around beginning of 2024.

There has been no warrant for my arrest, suspension of my driver's license, or effect on my credit. You don't need to file some freedom of information shite... you don't need to do shite.
It's literally a scam.
Do not pay it.
Forget about it.
