Why aren’t congresspeople investigated as to their enormous net worth?

It is inconceivable to me how they have such high net worth, such as AOC, based on their work history and estimated living expenses. This is the largest issue that needs to be resolved to preserve our republic.

Because the ones investigating are on the take as well. They’ve got a good thing going. It would be like foxes guarding the henhouse.

Because they are all in on the grift, both sides.

That’s like the police investigating the police. Never seem to find anything.

Because the inmates run the asylum.

Investigated for what?
Insider trading is not illegal for Senators or Congressmen.
But why?

I recall Elon on a stage with a huge chainsaw saying next DOGE was auditing congress critters and the IRS.
Suddenly Elon stopped with all the great headlines of the fraud DOGE found.

It’s the main reason Elon lost it

Because the foxes are guarding the henhouse.

It actually is but guess who investigates it.

There should be a special prosecutor!

They grow up fast don't they? Seems like only yesterday she was sitting indian style on her apt floor, drinking boxed wine and putting her ikea furniture together.

House of Representatives have to run every two years. Most of them serve multiple terms and leave much wealthier than when they entered. They grift all sorts of ways, campaign funds, kickbacks, insider trading.
The Senate is basically a multi-millionaires club at this point, you don’t get in there without a lot of personal wealth. Term is six years and most of them do multiple terms. They mostly make their money off kickbacks, bribes, and insider trading.
My question is why does a certified shitass snake oil salesman like Tommy Tubberville want to leave the Senate after one term? Too swampy?? Or is he too small of a turd in a big bowl of shite?
