There’s 12 guys I’d say who saw significant innings in 25

1. Kade Anderson
2. Anthony Eyanson
3. Jaden Noot
4. Casan Evans
5. Chase Shores
6. Zac Cowan
7. William Schmidt
8. Maverick Rizy
9. Cooper Williams
10. Jacob Mayers
11. Connor Ware
12. DJ Primeaux

More innings aren’t going to appear, maybe the number of people used significantly can ease up to 13 or 14. These arms are definitely going to have rolls.

1. Casan Evans - Starter
2. Cooper Willaims - Probable starter
3. Deven Sheerin - He could be #3
4. Jaden Noot - not going from Sunday guy to no role
5. Maverick Rizy
6. Gavin Guidry
7. Cooper Williams
8. Zac Cowan
9. William Schmidt
10. Santiago Garcia
11. Marcos Paz
12. Danny Lachenmeyer

So that leaves these guys fighting for junk innings

1. DJ Primeaux
2. Dax Dathe
3. Ryler Smart
4. Reagan Ricken
5. Ethan Plog
6. Zion Theophilus
7. Conner Benge ( maybe udfa)
8. Grant Fontenot (maybe udfa)
9. Jonah Aase (medical redshirt)

This is absolutely incredible pitching
depth.

Players may not be quite as good on the top end, but overall I like this staff better than last years.

Don’t take Jay Johnson for granted, this is truly something special to watch have here.

We were very top heavy in our pitching staff this past season. Looks like we should have better depth next year.

I think lsu has a better #3 starter than this past season and agree about the depth. But do you see any of these guys being as great as a #2 starter behind Evans as Eyanson was to Kade?

Eyanson stats coming over from UC San Diego were far better than any of the transfer pitchers we brought in. But maybe Sheerin? Or maybe Noot/Williams/Rizy/Schmidt/Moore make a big jump next year.

Jay did an incredible job filling out the rest of this line up with transfers. I think all next years team is lacking is a dominant #2 starter behind Evans.

You listed Cooper Williams twice. Think you meant one of those to be Cooper Moore

I think Casan will be one starter. After that, it gets interesting.

Note: you have Cooper Williams listed twice in your '26 list.

This is said every off season and reality almost always becomes 5 or so reliable pitchers used during the year.

Outside of midweek games, LSU relied heavily on just 5 guys: Anderson, Eyanson, Shores, Evans, Cowan. Those 5 all threw at least 52 innings. No one else had more than 32. That gap widened further in SEC play. And even further in the NCAA Tournament.

If you take out the game vs. UALR that LSU lost, LSU played 90 innings. Those 5 guys combined to pitch 78.6 of them (87%)

Same thing was said before last season. Then Anderson became the best pitcher in CBB

Accurate take. If I had my pick, though, I’d rather be top heavy!

Copper Moore stats are right there close to Eyanson and he pitched in a big 4 conference.

Eyanson only gave up 55 hits in 82 innings .190 opponent batting average in 2024
Moore gave up 91 hits in 88 innings .265 opponent batting average this past year

To be a little more fair...Eyanson came from the Big West and Moore is coming from the Big 12, but with that being said, the Big West is a solid baseball conference.

There is quite a few arms on this staff that can be a dominant #2 starter. What are you talking about? Lol. This pitching staff is becoming absolutely loaded with probably 4 or 5 big league level arms.

Sheerin for one if he can get his command down can definitely be a dominant #2 starter. Can throw 100 mph with nasty big league level strikeout pitches.

Same with Schmidt. If it can click for him like it did Anderson in yr 2 then he can and will be a dominant pitcher as well.

This team has plenty of options to compliment Evans

Eyanson had a much better pitching coach who made major progress with our entire bullpen. Expect all the newbs to improve greatly over the season.

It is not going to be crowded. Every year some people step up and some fall back. The same will happen again. It always does.
