They both have work capabilities , offloading with fun capabilities and hunting capabilities. Which one would you guys get? The Can Am or Polaris?

Went with the Pioneer! Thought about the grand babies. They love to ride!

Great machine! The only cons are decent amount of heat within the cabin from the engine. The sound system from the factory is actually extremely good. It sounds amazing. The adjustable fox suspension rides very smoothly took care of a few rattles and squeaks from the factory from watching YouTube videos.

Can-Am.

I have a Polaris XP1000 and a Can-Am 1000 4 wheeler. I’m wanting to try the new 1500 Polaris but if I was getting another 1000 sxs it would be a can-am.

Can-am. Have 3 right now. Something drastic has to change within both companies to make me go back to Polaris.

Can am
So far I have not had any issues with mine although it’s low miles.
I don’t know anyone who has had a can am that has said they would never own another. I can’t say the same for Polaris.

That can am is a sport unit with a bed.

A general is a utility bike that can go fast.

I didn't understand there was a difference until owning an Rmax.

They just haven't gotten screwed over by BRP yet.

My renegade grenaded with under 20 hours on it. It had never gone off of a gravel road. It was heat cycled for breakin. It had a text book engine and belt break in. When it slung a rod through the cases i wasn't speeding or accelerating hard.

I chalked it up as a missed shim in the motor and brought it in for repair. Can am told me to kick rocks. Denied warranty. Insurance company totaled the bike after tons of back and forth.

I will never own another BRP product. Their long bed sxs is exactly what I need, I'd rather piss glass than give them a dime.

The issue is canam reliability is completely hit or miss. It is either a perfect machine with no issues, or a complete pile of shite.

If those are your choices, the rmax is superior to both in reliability. The issue is it's louder and the seats are meh.

I've finally reached the age where I can admit I need utility more than sportiness. That meant the rmax left the stable, and another ranger xp got brought in. Why? My last one made it well over 10k miles without issue. It doesnt care if I put 1k lbs in the bed of it. Rides well. Quiet.

Forst time we took it in the woods...wife said we should have got a northstar.

Going that route early next year. Maybe adv if the stars align.

I’ve been totally satisfied with my Kawasaki Teryx, so you may want to check those out. Sport AND utility in one bike…

Kawasaki is great. Especially with the convertible bed from extra long to two row 6 seater.

It's a beast

I would go with Polaris. #1 in sales and they sell about 50% more UTVs than Cam Am. I drove a Can Am before I bought my Polaris. Reliability has been flawless. I also have a Honda and the Polaris I think is better and more reliable. The Honda is better than both for really low speed driving and start/stop type work due to its tranny.

I’ve been a Honda guy since my old fourtrax and 250sx 3 wheeler when I was a kid. Still have a Honda rubicon for my woods bike, but my canam defender hd9 max is a fricking tank. I’ve put a small lift on it once the warranty ran out and looking at some 30s right now, but it’s just preference. For what it is, it’s fun to ride, seats are far more comfortable than any Polaris, not jerky whatsoever, plenty of power and quiet. My dewalt Bluetooth radio was perfect before I put the soundbar in. I have friends with generals, they’d probably hang better in the stupid mud, but riding the pipelines by the house and the fields like I do, this is far superior.

Thx fellas.

I'm gonna go with the Can Am. Loaded with a new trailer.....28K.
Oh well. Life is short and my wife loves the outdoors. It was her idea!

Same dilemma here, I originally had a Yamaha Rhino that I loved but sold and bought a Polaris Ranger primarily for the bench seat (grandkids & such). Within two years it has been non stop changing bearings and axles on this machine which has been treated no different than the rhino. Maybe Polaris has gotten better but I’m looking for something different. With that said, they seem to all have issues, it’s just which issue do you want to deal with.

15 year old has put 3k miles on my '24 cfmoto uforce 1000xl in the last year with no issues other than a bad fuse that I'm about to replace with a breaker. Was hard to beat at the price when I was looking and no complaints so far other than that fuse.

I’ve been looking at the CF’s but there’s supposedly issues with parts availability. Hell, I don’t know

Can am but I'd expect the price to reflect that.

Can-am. I’m biased but they are nicer.

The reality is, the are about the same. One does certain stuff better than the other, there are different pros and cons, etc. if you treat them right and maintain correctly, can’t really go wrong with either. I would also look at where you will be getting them serviced and what is the closest and cheapest option for service close to you.

I also really like the new Kawasaki ridges.
